Default Wheel size A7 to A6

Hey guys,

I'm getting ready to put on the winter tires/wheels on my A6.

I was looking to get Audi replica rims from Costco.ca, but they do not list Audi A6 just A7. I was wondering if anyone know if the 18 inch wheel size (front/rear axis, bolt pattern, center bore) for A7 is same as on A6. And if the rim will clear the caliper.

Thanks!

Go to TireRack and put a wheel package together. Write down the data that they provide and find other wheels with the same specs.

You will need:
wheel size: I have 17's for my 2012 A7 winter set
Bolt Pattern:5x112
Hub Bore: 66.56 mm
Offset (ET):
wheel width:

I bought my A7 in late November so I didn't have any time to research wheel sizing. TireRack said the 17's would fit over my 3.0L calipers and they did. I chose a dark color to hide the dirt and added some red motorcycle wheel tape to dress them up a bit.

Not positive but I believe the wheel offsets are different for the A7. You could do a search.

+1 to talk to Tire Rack. Used them for years they do a ton of research and are very reliable source of info.

I had the same question to see if I could put my black custom 17 inch rims I used on my A3 with winter tires, on my New A6. Needed different tires but the rims were okay provided I got the right adapter rings, which tire rack provided for $10.

I like smaller rims/more tire for winter driving especially if deep snow. Nice A7 by the way.

I know my 2012 A7 20 inch wheels have a offset of 37mm. The numbers are stamped on the hub and I took pictures when they were off the car.

From my notes, the A6 20 inch wheels have a offset of 39mm. There is a difference but not much. The OP should check his OEM wheel hub to see if the sizes are still valid.

Rule of thumb is to check the fitment on a front hub for clearance before mounting a tire. Wheel vendors will not accept a wheel that has had a tire mounted on it as a return.
