Why do some people think the new rs6 will be clearly superior. I haven't seen the article in autoweek, but the rs6 0-60mph figure quoted of 4.6 sec is the same as the m5 figure in motortrend. In addition, unless they seriously upgrade the handling and replace that mediocre bose audio I'll be asking for my deposit back.

Based on times I've seen at the dragstrip,motortrend is consistently closer to reality than other mags.

Obviously MT did their test on a frozen Norwegian lake, thus the RS6 was clearly superior. Everyone knows that.

of course the handling will be improved...there's a vast improvement just from the A6 to the S6...the RS 6 is completely different...

The stereo, on the other hand, will be the same...but who gives a flying sh*t...I would hope that if you truly appreciate cars you wouldn't judge a car or decide for or against a vehicle based on it's stereo...

as the M5. AWD requires a different driving style.

Don't ask us though. Read about it from professionals who have actually driven it. If you really don't want to spend the cash and just don't believe in the reports, then don't buy the car or complain about it.
