Yikes…2y/o gas…get it out of the tank. Get fresh gas.
I see, that's good to know, the car has been sitting for almost 2 years now!
although when I charge the FP manually is does work and gas does come out of the line, I just don't get any gas when I crank it. That being said the gas has been sitting in the tank for the past 2 years, I'll give your advice a try and see what happens. The relay is ok, the fp fuse is ok, and the fp itself is functional as well, at this point I'm thinking maybe I should change the sparks as well, what do u think? but than again what would be the relation between sparks and fuel supply, even if the sparks are finished I should at leased smell the gas while I'm cranking it.

Anyone have any tricks to verify if the valves are in good condition or not without buying a leak down tester?

Does the FP initiate only at start up or does it work all the time while the car is running?

I left this back in Feb with expectation of bent valves on Bank 1, due to cam timing chain jumping multiple teeth when tensioner shoe broke. Clues were:
1. apparent angular misalignment of intake & exhaust cams in pics
2. interference when manually trying to turn crank before realigning cams
3. no compression in B1 was diagnosed by the Audi tech
Multiple cranking of engine since then probably not helping the situation.
Resetting timing won't fix bent valves. Checking fuel pump won't fix bent valves.
Seems like you're avoiding checking the most likely problem.
