A6 Avant receiver hitch
I have a 2.8 avant and thinking about putting a hitch on it. I have a stand-up jetski with a small single place trailer that Id like to tow. Any of you guys had any expierence with what works and looks the best on our Audi? Thanks

The allroad hitch would work, but they are no longer available in the US. Aftermarket
ones are available but they are class I instead of class II which should still be fine for a jet-ski. You can try u-haul if there are any local to you, or search the allroad forum for "hitch" for more companies.

Just put one last weekend ...
...on my wife's 99 A6 Avant. Got one from www.DrawTite-Hitches.com.
Hitch was specially made for A6. You will need to remove the bumper cover and lower valence. Hitch attaches with 6 bolts. Four are in the rear of vehicle (through the spare tire well) and two are in the spare tire well but from the bottom of vehicle. You will need to drill the 6 holes bec. there are no existing ones on the car.
The sheet attached with the car stated 45 mins installation but with the bumper cover removal, drilling, etc. it was a 3 hour job for me. The receiver is 1 1/4" BTW. Looks good, not very noticeable. Oh, the valence will have to be trimmed around the receiver part. I may be able to take a photo later on.
Now I need to find a bike rack to go with it ;-)
