Default Audi equivalent type transmission fluid on sale $7.99 a qt at your local Napa

Was just in my local Napa store and saw they had a sale on the Valvoline CVT Synesthetic Transmission fluid. Typically it's just over $10 a qt but on sale for $7.99. Back of the bottle says it's recommended for Audi and VW, among other type cars. I get a little worried when I see a plethora of other vehicles listed on the recommended list. Has anyone tried this brand in their cars? Below is pictures of the bottle front and back.

Keep in mind this G052180 is ONLY for CVT transmissions. Using it in a 5HP19, for example, might not be the best idea.

Be very very carful with the ZF transmission fluid on a quattro drive, it's not a CVT trans unless you have front wheel drive.

I am all up for saving money. Sometimes, it's just not worth saving some money now when there is bigger expense later (in the form of trans repair)...

FWIW, I've used Blaupart's Kit: Audi A6 Transmission Fluid Filter Change Kit - Audi A6 ATF - V8

Transmission fluid and filter changed over 11k miles ago. Absolutely no issues!
For < $130.00 a whole kit with OE or equivalent quality parts, you can't beat it... just my $0.02

Notice that the Blauparts kits is also NOT using factory ZF fluid.

Who is to say that the Ravenol is a better or worse Match for ZF Lifeguard 5 or TL52162 specifications?

What can I say... More power to you? I just shared my thoughts fwiw... if you think there are better alternatives, by all means, go for it.

Whoa Dude, don't get pissy. I did not say there are "better" (or worse) alternatives

Just pointing out there are alternative (and lower cost) fluids that meet the specs, but if you want factory fill, the Blauparts kits is still not it.

What makes you think I am getting "pissy" here. On the contrary, I invite you to see that what I mentioned was my OPINION and I still stand by it. I know Blauparts kit is not factory fill. And for that matter, even better than factory oil could be engineered...

Are there better or worse products for more or less money? I am sure. What works for me is what I shared. I try to help people here based on my direct experiences. If I was not happy with a product, regardless of vendor, I'll suggest to stay away.

My point is that Blauparts Kit was a good value for money and it worked well for me.

Ok, there is no point to drag this further. I think you understand my view.
