The center console latch on my 2002 S6 is missing and all the posts I can find regarding a replacement latch reference the C6.
Does anyone know if the 4F0864245 replacement latch will fit a C5 center console?
If not, is there a replacement latch for the C5 console available?

Last but not least, my S6 has a leather interior. Has anyone installed the Bremmen Parts center armrest lid that ECS sells? Is the leatherette material a good match?

I bought a center armrest lid for like $50 or so from Hong Kong and popped off the leather cover on my center console cover and transferred it to the new plastic substrate on the one from Hong Kong. Only disconnect was the HongKong console cover was beige as was the plastic, slightly lighter than the melange on the car.

BTW, 4F0864245 is missing 4 to 5 characters on the end that define what color, etc.

Great idea. Did the two pieces fit together correctly or was super glue involved?

Understood about the incomplete part number, I was just trying to see if the generic piece would work. $10 is better than $50.

I bought a center lid assembly from Amazon being black it matched perfectly, other colors not sure.
