Seems like most of the ones on ebay come from Poland.
Figured a group of enthusiasts like we have here would not need so much hand holding.

Too late though. Found one seller at a really good price so I ordered on a hope.

What kind of price did you get N_Jay? .....and for how many, all 4? I had no idea they were called "blades" I was going with lower door moulding. I like blades better.

I see, if they are off a car and factory equipment it would be right down to the condition of the blades. Almost thought you were looking at knock-offs sold in Poland...and we all know who would be making them.

Sounds like a very good price if the blades are not warped.

I am quite sure they are aftermarket. But the factory ones new are ridiculous and even used are high.

I would think they may be Chinese, but almost every ebay link comes back to Poland.
Do we know where the OEM ones were made?

Personally I don't know but 15 to 10 years ago it wouldn't surprise me if they were made in Europe like Romania or Hungary.

As I work on my 00, and pull parts form the 02, I am always a bit surprised how many different places the original parts came from.

Wondering if the original molds drifted into some shop in Poland and that is why all the blades come from there now.

Now I have to decide on the color to pain them.

Choices:

Correct Silver (LY7W) $25 a can.
Close Silver (whatever the auto parts store has closes ($10 a can)
Bright Aluminum or Bright Silver ($5 or less a can)
Maybe even "hammered Look" Krylon.
Flat Black
Matte Black
Maybe Matt Silver/Aluminum?
