Hello...new to Audi's
Hello to all...I just bought a 99 a6.2.8l quattro. I am having a hard time learning about it...no owners manual when I go ther. I also have a jeep grand cherokee and am a member on the jeepforum. I guess my 1st question is where can I go to learn about my model and what mods can I do to it. For example are there mods for other models that will work on the 99 a6?

wow...I had figured I would get a few responses....this sure isn't like the jeep forum I am at. I know that I would be the newb here...but I was sure hoping to find some help too.

I think most people whenever they get a "new car; to them anyway"
Get bitten by the mod-bug and want to immediately "modify" their car.
I say align it; change the tires, put new shocks in it, change oil, do a small quick "tune up" new air filter, new battery maybe?
My point here is get used to working on your new-used car, get familiar with the engine and suspension components and start with a solid foundation to build on and modify later.
That's my dos centavos.
Of course Your Mileage May Vary... :P

Oh yes, and Search The Archives for any question you may have; chances are the answer to your question is there.
I don't mean to sound like an a$$-hat I just learned to love the search feature in this forum; in addition you get answers right away! don't have to wait for fellow members to respond to your thread with:
"Did you STFA"

yeah that is about what I tell most on the jeep forum too...I will take a look to see what all is in the faq's. I was hoping to find some like minded people on here as well and make it easier to with their knowledge. I will get a Haynes or Chilton's to learn about my model...but there will be some mods done and will look into the faq's.

it never hurts to want more hp and tq. I also like asthetics as well...so I am looking for set of led taillights...I found some nice ones but they are for an a4. I have already ordered slotted/cross drilled rotors and ebc pads along with HID's for the low and 100w PIAA's for the highs and a cai. New plugs as well. I will work on other things like rims and tires along with coils and shocks and so forth. Maybe even upgrade the sway bars...gotta learn the vehicles limits first. I love speed and handling so there is a start.
