is my torque bad? what torque converter do i have?
hi all,
i recenetly done a complete transmission rebuild to my 2001 a6 2.7t *front wheel drive* 5 speed automatic.
the transmission components are all new, but the torque was fixed in a local shop.. i think they did a bad job!
symptomes:
when driving and letting go of the gas pedal, the rpm drops no the regular nutral (900+- rpm) for 3 seconds, and then it jumps again in to gear and the car fells like i throw the clutch.
the car shakes some times under load or even at normal driving. only sometimes. (all the mechanical parts are new, the wheels 100% balanced)
when i brake the i feel the transmission goes from nutral to gear over and over and at 40% of the times the car stalls when i complete a full stop. its the same feeling like i would drive a manual car and get into a complete atop while in gear.
sometimes when i kickdown the revs go up slow and then i feel the tranny starts to work with a delay, again like i would drive a manual, rev up and throw the clutch to late.
i am attaching the sticker from the back of the car with all the info, it would be great to hear your thougts... sorry for my bad English.
