Things I need to check before driving to Romania?
Hi guys/girls!
Im not a regular poster but a regular reader. My last post some of you might remember was about a big road trip around france/germany/austria/monaco with pics. In May im going to drive from Scotland to Romania to my brothers wedding and I need a few suggestions on things to check and look for that may pose a reliability problem on a near 10k mile trip. Iv recently had all brake discs & pads done, all tyres, upper front suspension arms & timing belt done. Is there anything else thats a common problem that might leave me stranded before I go?

Are you in the AA or RAC?
If so, you might wanna get a list of the partner companies that they have agreements with in each country. I know that when I drive in America, I get given a temporary (paper) triple-A card for free. On the other hand, with it being inside Europe, you could probably call the AA/RAC direct and they'd figure out the europe part for you if you break down.
If you don't have a navi system, I recommend borrowing one from someone. Preferrably one that has TMC integration (gets traffic signals via RDS and can automatically re-route you around the jams).
