2005 A6 3.2 Quattro Tranny oil change old tan vs new software with blue oil
Hey guys, i am looking to change oil, with filter and pan gasket, i am debating whether i should pay the dealer to update the transmission and put the new blue oil or just replace it with the same yellow tan one originally in there. is there a major difference or would sticking to original tan oil ok?

What do your service records say?

I have the original zf lifeguard 6, but my question if is worth paying the extra to flash and then change fluid to blue or to just service transmission without updating and with original zf6 fluid?

Personally I don't think it would be worth it to you, since you'll have to remove all 9 qts of the current fluid then refill with the correct fluid. That will get expensive very quickly for you. Stick with the zf lg 6
