Default Run car without SC for a while?

Hi guys,

My SC makes a really bad noise for maybe 30 minutes when car starts, once it warms up it will quit down. I am guessing bearing or something mechanical in there and my mech took the belt out and noise went away. I want to buy another one but here in Europe it's a bit harder to find a good one, I am on vacantion can I run the car without the SC belt for a 2000-3000KM ?
Would it do more damage and what that could be ? I know there will be powerloss but how much really at the end of the day it's still a 3L engine.
Would the SC block the airflow or will the bypass kick in and work without a SC ?

Thank you,

Id first start by checking the oil in the SC.

Basically pull the SC (pretty quick only 6 nuts and a few hoses)
undo the allen key,
pour the oil out into a glass jar (about 150ml or so of oil)
mark the level on the jar,
refill with clean oil
reinstall SC.

See if that at least helps.
