I am not the foremost expert on music in the A6 but I did a ton of research on my 05 and there was no option without pulling the CD changer and adding a unit that would allow a physical cable to an ipod. I'm not sure which year Bluetooth sync and the ability to stream music through your phone works.
Being you have an 07 you should have Bluetooth connectivity for calls but I don't know what else

Use the SEARCH function and look for "by a2dp music". Your options for wireless music streaming through your phone are Ami or dension 500 with a tune2air adapter.

Enjoy

Your car does not support A2DP (musi trought bluetooth). Your choices are AMI or AUX input.

Not entirely correct, you have other choices such as dension 500 or xcarlink and then can add a tune2air dongle and your car will be able to perform A2DP and steam music wirelessly... That's what I've done on my car.

And I was answering the OPs question... Plus who only wants to stay stock when with little effort you can bring your car into the 21st century

If you go the AMI route, I purchased the USB connector since I have no I-anything. I tried a number of flash drives and had no luck with any of them and kind of gave up. Ultimately, I had a 320Gig HD sitting on my desk which came out of an old laptop. I purchased a case that connected USB to the sata drive and power connector reformatted the drive to FAT32 and loaded a few songs. Worked great. Loaded my digital archive which included a bunch of WMA 128kbps, MP3s at 128kpbs, and MP3s at 320kpbs and has worked very well since. I was surprised the WMAs played but so far every one has. About the only issue I've had is the delay between tracks where the original CD had no gap in between and tracks ran continuous. However, I've noticed the same on the PC unless I create a playlist for each CD.

Good luck.

Is it possible to connect your phone to the dension (play music trough BT) and the car (BT phone calls) at the same time?

When I have music streaming through my speakers and a call comes through, the music automatically stops playing and the call takes precedence. As soon as the call ends, the music picks up from where it stopped.
