Default Help. Need a picture for reference

Hi, I need a bit of help.

Took my car to get the windows tinted and I think the front door window molding/seals were damaged.

I'm getting wind and noise coming from where the window glass goes into the door on the rear latching end. Not sure if it is the molding or the insulation inside the door, but I don't want to touch it until they look at it.

I don't have a reference as to what the molding is supposed to look like though.

Could someone post a picture for me to compare?

I am looking from the top of the driver door with the window rolled down at the back latching end. You can make out the "hole" and what look to be cut marks on the rubber in the inside.

If you guys can post some pics here, I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

Can't you compare it to the door on the other side ?

Thanks hrcru!

Roy I could not, as the other side had the same gaps (but cut differently).

I spoke to the installer and they said because the molding is one continuous piece they usually make a small cut to allow the tint to be put in place.

The owner agreed that the cut was overdone and the cause of the wind. They will be replacing that molding on all the windows to correct it. They were very professional about it.

The installer was recommended by the audi dealership and they did not disappoint.

Not sure if this is the case with all window tint places on other audi models, but keep this in mind when taking your car to get tinted.

Thanks.
