Default Huge Audi A6 2.0 TDI 2007 malfunction

While driving at normal speed,my engine started to lose power and to shudder violently, after some kilometers, the handbrake, esp and abs malfunction lights were on,and the engine stopped working...I tried to turn it back on but it just looses electricity after 4 ticks from the engine starter...It is impossible to start it...
Someone please help!

Welcome to the forum and your issue sounds similar to the following:

Take a read and you'll notice that the issue you described could come from a variety of issues: electrical, high-pressure fuel pump, etc...However, without a VCDS and proper troubleshooting tools, you are simply guessing.

Also, here's a quick search of a number of similar issues: AudiWorld Forums - Search Results

You need to scan with VCDS, this will tell you where the fault lies.

In that case, buy a new car. most likely you've got bent valves and your engine is toast...if you trust the shop you took it to.

Looks like a used engine can be had for < $2000. Would it make sense to replace engine instead of buying new car?

Good point on dropping in a used engine. Based upon the OP having a 2.0 TDI, I'm assuming he's in Europe and that procuring and installing an engine may be more $$ than here in the US. If you really love the car, then a reman engine makes sense.
