-The WeatherTech mats and cargo liner came in. Amazing as always.
-Received the owners manuals, read them cover to cover in one night. Learned a lot and fixed the front cig socket upon seeing the fuse location.
-I had buffed a scratch off the DS tail and decided to buff up the PS as well. It moved a lot. Found the stud broken off the light. JB welded it back on.
- Got a new top to the MMI ****. Prior owner apparently broke it and glued it back in place.

Washed it up a couple of times and can't wait until I have a day to spend with the buffer and some clay etc.

Next week it gets tinted up with a quality Llumar 35%.

I'm looking up brakes as the rotors feel lightly warped. I have no patience for bad rotors and pads.

Loving the car.
Did you get the laser fit mats? Need something before next winter!

I got the super duper laser fits plus trunk liner. They are amazing. Well worth the cost. I'll get some pictures.

On the manuals. I got the elaswin off ebay. Every vehicle of every line imaginable. Its the same manuals the dealer has.

When I bought my 05 A6 it was missing the driver-side floor mat, and the passenger side was stained. I got the laser fit mats from Weathertech (2005 Audi A6/S6 | WeatherTech FloorLiner custom fit car floor protection from mud, water, sand and salt. | WeatherTech.com) and could not be happier. The carpets are practically mint for a 10 year old car, and I wanted to keep them this way. I think these mats will help do the trick.

Steve.. you might find a present at your doorstep one day if you pm your address to a buddy.

Never know what might show up from tree seedlings (helocopter things) to service manuals. Surprises can be cool

So what you're saying is you want to borrow my S-Line Paddle shift steering wheel that is patiently lying around my garage until I can learn Vagcom to see if you can code it to work with your car.

Since I don't even have a VC interface yet and you do, I could send it over if you like. Only problem is I don't have an airbag for it yet.

Adding paddle shifting via vag is pretty straight-forward.

I recently installed a paddle enabled steering wheel in my C6 and it was actually quite easy. As for programming it, here you go:

https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a6-.../#post24656916

VAG-COM Programming

1) Connect VAG cable to car and open controller 16 - Steering Wheel.

2) Select Recode - 07

3) Write down original softcoding. For my car, it was 02042

4) To enable the paddle shift buttons, change the 3 digit from right from a "0" to a "1"
(i.e. 02042 --> 02142) and click on "Do It". The latest version of the VAG-COM includes a
label file that deciphers the coding on this controller.

5) Close controller. And go test the car.
