THROTTLE BODY ISSUE, CODE P0068, FIXED

Same Issue
I took my car to the shop and have the same code p0068 map/maf throttle position correlation.. These posts are a great help but have a question.. After I clean everything up I would like to clear the code and recalibrate if I need to.. Do you have any recommendations on what I should buy without breaking the bank for a code reader.. I see Ross Tech seems to be the choice but looking at the site it looks like they are big money.. Will a $50 code reader from amazon do the trick?

I've been having similar codes on our 2006 A6 wagon with the BKH engine:
Address 01: Engine (AUK) Labels: 06E-910-559-BKH.lbl
Part No SW: 4F1 910 559 E HW: 4F1 907 559 A
Component: 3.2l V6 FSI 0070
Revision: --H15--- Serial number:
Coding: 010D0109190F0120
Shop #: WSC 02325 785 00200
VCID: 2D5BE69CB46E2556CD-8078
2 Faults Found:
012410 - Air Intake System
P307A - 008 - Flow too Low - Intermittent
000104 - MAP/MAF <-> Throttle Position Correlation
P0068 - 007 - - Intermittent - MIL ON
Readiness: 0000 0000
I think the throttle body needs to be removed to clean it up. I ended up doing spark plugs, too. They are due now on our car.
Dirty front:
Dirty rear (not really very dirty):
Cleaned up:
This car is due for an (I/M) inspection sticker this month so I needed to deal with it even though the car ran as expected.
The throttle body was completely removed from the car and it gave me better access to the spark plugs when removing the air intake system. The back side of the throttle body bolts up to a plastic mounting plate. It was very clean in there. Much cleaner than other cars I've seen. This was unusual, IME.
I performed the re-adaptation with VCDS - - that all went well. Error codes must be cleared first!
The idle quality is very stable. I suspect I have to drive the car for about 100 miles now to reset the readiness status. I should have done the engine air filter today but didn't have one handy. Snow screen is in good shape.

Good to hear, Dimi. I hope I can say the say after driving some miles in our car. FWIW, the car runs beautifully.

just did the same - real easy to remove - I also sprayed the MAP sensor (with MAF cleaner) - i know it shouldn't make a difference but I didnt have to take it out as I could see it once I removed the Throttle Body
