19" wheel experts chime in please
Hi all:
I am planning to put on 19" rotor wheels from the A5/S5 titanium package that are 19x9 33 mm offset.
These should fit without issue on my A7 right? Stock brakes, and would put 255/40 tires on these wheels t match the OEM size.
Thanks in advance.

I can say this seriously (and would be willing to prove it), that I have been forced to install 5 new tires on my 2015 a7 THIS WINTER with the 265/35/r20 conti tires.
Furthermore I do not have the road assist tire and wheel maintenance Audi offered (thought it was a waste, but totally worth it on any car with low profile tires). The first was replaced and paid for by the dealer at about 2500k miles. My fault due to a tiny road hazard. but they did the right thing. The next 2 were covered by insurance as I slid on black ice and the curb took care of 2 of them (on the same side. insurance reimbursed the body shop over $600 a tire)). Next about a week ago I hit a pot hole on PIP and front left tire blew, only to be replaced from tire rack when the new service manager at dealer was unwilling to even discuss. Believe it or not the replacement tire ( same exact position) hit another pot hole and blew out. This time the tire was covered under tire racks road hazard policy and just 2 days old they replaced it again both promptly and willingly and for free.. Super kudos to tire rack, their policies and quick cheap shipping and no sales tax.
To answer the question I was running 37.5 in the front and 34 in the rear. No idea if these pressure settings had anything to due with the propensity for a blow out.
BTW I only have 4600 miles on my new 2015 A&

Well that about sums it up...had 35 series on my a5 it was just a bit too firm for my liking, I'd run a 45 series if it didnt look so goofy.

There is a good chance I'll go down to a 19, and that wheel is on my list. But I will go with a 275/40. A 255/40 is a slightly smaller tire in width and height compared to stock, a 275 slightly bigger. A 255/45 is way too tall. I realize that the 255/40 is a factory size, but I'm comparing to the 265/35-20 takeoff.

IMO that tire pressure is too low. I run 39 front and 40 rear, cross fingers no issue outside pothole city, Chicago

His pressures are actually a little higher than the manual calls for. I think it says 32/35 or 36 depending in which tire you have. Mine were delivered at what you are running and it rode like a dump truck.

OK, I'd rather go by what the tire mfr. recommends, for my new 20" Conti DWS that's 38/41

No, you are wrong. It is not 38/41, read the manual. I made the same mistake when I got mine and someone here on the forum set me straight. Trust me when I tell you to read the manual.
