Default 1st Audi, looking at 2012 A7, Advice Please

Hello all, loved the look of this car for years, but I live in the Wyoming-no dealers, so I was considering this: www.ebay.com/itm/2012-Audi-A7-premium-plus-super-charged-/301658521538?[/URL]. I can get mechanic to look at it or should I anticipate problems with 2012 and save up a little more for 2014, I like to pay cash. anybody buy a car this way? Thanks for any input

Personally, I would never buy a car off ebay, simply because I like to look/touch something like that, particularly when dropping a considerable amount of money. Also, unless you know/trust a mechanic who can look at it, you're pretty much throwing the dice.

If I were in your shoes, I would be looking at a dealer near WY that you can check their website for a CPO and then maybe travel there, particularly if one catches your eye.

Understand those are my opinions only. The members on this forum have a vast amount of experience and knowledge and can provide extensive advice, especially when looking at cars for sale listed on public bulletin boards like ebay & Craigs List. I'm sure there are many valid deals to be had out there...I just wouldn't go after one, especially if I were in the position you're in.

Best of luck in your search!

I would not buy a car from eBay either. I would use it as a resource to find cars for sale and contact the seller. I would have to see much better pictures and either check it out myself or have someone else do it to reduce the risk.

No one bid on the listing. You should be able to get it for less than the asking price. Fly out to Frisco, check it out and drive it home.

I would buy from ebay, maybe I am basis cause I have sold my vehicles on ebay before. I bought my Q7 from ebay but technically from the dealer, cause I just called them and worked with them from there. Also I would not buy that one you have linked cause its in bad shape for someone that wants to seriously sell a car, most will clean it and show pics of it being cleaned. Also look for a CPO, not that this car needs it but for the money its a nice to have. I would buy a prestige also because the premium front bumper doesnt look as good IMO.
