Yes, this topic seems to come up quite frequently around here. Nobody seems to read the user manual. In the USA as has been said, the door sticker only lists the max load pressure for the tires the car shipped with. All other pressure information for the various OEM summer and winter tires and for different load ratings are found in a table in the user manual. The door sticker even says to consult the user manual. In Europe and other places as can be seen in the example above, the door sticker lists this additional information right there.

I was forced to read the manual. The manual states the placard rules but gives proper pressures. So given the misinformation I'll just go with what was said here and reduce my pressures to manual specs. Thanks.
