Default Looking to buy... differences in years?

Hi all,

Very new to Audi. I tried searching the forums for ~20 minutes but I couldn't find a "year by year differences thread". I'm looking to buy a used A7 and I'm trying to figure out what makes sense, financially. I am in the USA.

Should I be focusing on finding a Presige? Is Premium Plus typically the better buy?

I need to stay under 50k, ideally would like to spend closer to 35-40k. Any years I should be focusing on exceeding due to large technical changes? (cameras, navigation, engine, etc.). Really looking for any thoughts of feedback from those of you that wish you could "do it again!".

Thanks so much.

Very interesting site. I was poking around. My French leaves much to be desired but there were many interesting illustrations.

That greatly depends on your location and your needs.

I am in Toronto, Canada and my "must haves" are the heated steering wheel and the 4 zone climate control.

My wife would put the massage seats on top of her list, while I only had that on once in over 2 years, just to check it out.

In Texas you want ventilated seats for example, and those come only with the prestige package.

I wish I had the head up display, but the windshield is more expensive and I already replaced a regular one for $1,200 at Audi.

What I like a lot on my 2014 is the black cloth headliner and the Driver Assistance Package with the front/rear cameras. I use those cameras (especially the front camera) all the times.

If you do some searching on topic of cellular connection you'll find some differences with 2012 hardware versus later years. If you live in a cooler climate then the cold weather package is a good feature. Driver assistance package is a good option to have in any region. Appearance-wise the black headliner looks great with dark leather. I like the LED lighting for the brightness and it also complements the exterior look.
