Lowered/Lowering A7

have you taken any dips? or dips with turns? with stock rims and wheels?
and you are telling me you get no rubbing.... I am... in front... rubbing on outside fender... i can see small rubber marks on metal.
I find it hard to believe you dont with the stock setup. Unless you have not taken dips at speed yet or hard turn on dips.
You alter your driving style?
I am now deciding on how to rectify this matter.
Shop says go coil spacers.
another option different tires.
roll fenders.
or go back to stock
I dont think H&R are meant for stock tire setup.
The front drop is really agressive(again how could you not see this after the install... i just dont get it).
It looks great... but any rubbing even if just at dips and turning on dips at speed really make me angry.

I'm running the h&r's on my A7 as well. I definitely got a lot of rubbing in the front when they were first installed. I ended up installing 0.25 inch spacers under the front struts. The height is now perfect and ride has not been compromised.

you installed spring spacers?
my guys recommended this... but after research turned out to be not a good thing to do.

No way the OEM would rub. He is running 20x9 with the offset of +20. So his wheels are sticking way out more than yours.

no wonder you were rubbing!!!
I was at +25... taking the front back to 37... so i will be good.
the H&R springs were engineered for load based on their stance... any more throws this off... can impact ride quality among other tings...
call H&R in seattle and ask for Steven and he can give you more details.
told Quattring I was thinking of this and he flipped.. .said it was like treating the A7 like a civic... so I began to get concerned... all the other pros I consulted with said no way.
Hey... but if its working for you and there is no big diff.. what the hell.
Quattring you want to chime in here?

I've had this setup for about 4 months now and have no issues. I get that the spring load will be thrown off but it's not like I'm racing this thing. The front was just way too low for my liking. Now it's perfect.
