Heat the letters with a hair dryer first. It will not damage the paint but softens the adhesive.

A clean butt is a happy butt. I've been de badging since the 80's. It's a whole lot easier to detail as well.

This will def help. Should've mentioned I'm in Arizona and the car was in the baking desert heat all day so I think mine were naturally softened....
