Default Ventilated front seats question...

When I run the ventilated seats at full blast (level 3), I can barely feel it. I can definitely hear that it is on, but doesn't really cool down much. In my friend's Porsche Cayenne, I have to turn it down because it gets too cold. Question is, is there something wrong with mine?

TIA

-Daniel

Nothing wrong....They've been the same low power since the '12 models.

Most cars don't cool, they simply ventilate. Some do have a cooling system, but not many. The way I look at it is that they may not feel cool, but they are not as hot as they would be without them.

It works and it's cool.....but it is pretty low (even when set to high).

I'm curious as to where you live. They never feel cool to me in the summer in Houston.

Thanks for the responses! I read on another thread that if you set the temperature of the footwell area to the coldest setting through the MMI, the cold air will then blow up through the ventilated seat fans. I just gave this a try on the way to work this morning and it worked!!! I actually had to turn it to the middle setting because it was getting too cold.

^^ that's good to know. I also have thought the ventilated seats was super weak. I never notice it unless it's on max

They are pretty pathetic.

I used a shop vac to both clan and blow through the holes, and it seem to be a little better, but not as good as my 911 was.

No there is nothing wrong with your seats. I recently dropped my car for service as I thought there was something wrong with the vented seats. The service adviser called me and said "both fans are working perfectly, they just do a really poor job." I was shocked she herself said that. She went on to tell me how everyone who has them complains about poorly they cool. I asked her to please vac the seats to pull any dirt from the perfs in the leather. I recently drove my uncles Ford truck and the seats were ice cold inside of 5 minutes! Audi should be ashamed!! I will try the foot well AC trick, hopefully that helps because its 114 degrees here today!
