Was given this option by Cquence Brakes as a low dust semi-metallic option. They are the Centric OE Replacements.

I've had EBC Redstuffs on my past two cars when I was concerned about Brake dust, they stop great, make no noise, and they don't make any brake dust to be seen. I only clean them for road grime and such.

Front Pad
Mfg#: DP31327C (brembo style)

Rear Pad
Mfg#: DP3680C

I ended up ordering the Hawk HPS as some of the reviews I read on the Reds were not great, albeit they were on different cars. How was cold braking? I may see about swapping the pads. I purchased through TireRack as they had the best prices on the Hawks. The fronts are on 3 week back order.

Got them from jim ellis 130$+50$+25$ shipping.

It says fronts are made in italy and rears made in france.
If its the same as textar trw that is being manufactured here they would probably not import them.

ANYONE Driving ANYTHING with disc brakes and thinking they will function PROPERLY without being heated up NEEDS TO HAVE THEIR HEAD EXAMINED.

I am in favor of using the BEST brake hardware money can buy, including the Pro stuff from the guys in Northampton, Eng., if you can afford it.

Upgraded rotors, pads AND good rubber, without question.. pc

You can have a pad which works well cold and a pad which is essentially useless when cold.
I'll take the former thanks.

A disc brake is designed to shed heat as quickly as possible as it converts kinetic energy into heat.
They will have a temperature where they provide maximum efficiency, but keeping them in that zone is only going to happen when driving aggressively or on the track..
Disk brakes also suffer from brake fade and in this regard track pads come into their own with higher temperature tolerance.

However I'll maintain that track pads are useless on the street as a street car will spend a fair proportion of its time with cold brakes, unless you drive aggressively all the time or drag your brakes or practice other poor driving habits..

I've had semi track Ferodo pads on an old V8 Commodore I had. They weren't on it for long!
