How to torque an inaccessible nut? Lower control arm
I'm doing my first control arm replacement and following the wonderful instructions here. audipages A8 Control Arm Replacement
I am doing the front rear lower arm - the large curved one, the one that needs a bolt to be cut (took me 30s with a carbide sawzall blade ) but am tying to figure out how the hell one torques these with a standard (borrowed from auto store) torque wrench? A socket and driver are not able to be put on either on the nuts, I used an open ended 18mm wrench to loosen them.
Some type of adaptor or open ended torque wrench or just do it by feel ???

Did mine years ago. Torqued the lower straight arm first. Then used a wrench on the large curved arm to as close to 66 lbs. as I could feel. Checked it a couple time after and never had any issues.

Just bought one, for the nut closest to the subframe seems to work ok, the one below the out CV joint, still not able to access it.
This would of been a much better option:

Just tighten it. A torque wrench is not a critical tool for suspension parts. Just crank it down. Dont really need a torque wrench except for head bolts, rod and main bolts, and lower intakes on pushrod stuff. The specs are there as a guideline to get an idea how tight they want it.
