Stubborn drain.
Passenger side drain is such a mess. I have much of the car torn apart over this drain. Have the drain from the outside to the orange rubber nipple deal clear. I can not get water or compressed air though. I have also tried all sorts of wire and plastic to clear it up. The wire will only go in an inch then stuck. Please if anyone has had this issue and has a trick for me.?
On the positive side I am replacing the under run pump and the master brake.

you can simply pull the orange part of the drain out to clean it. from where it connects at the transmission tunnel, there is only about 1.5" of rubber beyond. more than likely your wire is poking through all the way and getting stuck on something in the trans tunnel.
I pulled both of mine out and blew them out with the garden hose. re-installing is a little tricky but not bad.
hope that helps.

The orange rubber piece ends in a cross shaped slit that is supposed to open to let water escape outside. They always get stuck closed so I just cut the tips off mine.
No more smelly water thrown out of the AC vents and no more wet carpets.
