3 spoke multifunction steering wheel with shift paddles
I just installed this. I coded this with vag-com but the shift paddle function is not working. Can anyone confirm if there is any other coding to be done or if I need additional wiring or hardware to make the shift paddles work. Maybe there is other coding?

I would say greatly it depends upon what you coded. Not much to go on with your description. What did you code, what was the code before and afterwards .......... that kind of thing.

My steering wheel stock coding is 0012241. I used 0012141. I changed the 5th number starting from the left. Code did accept and change. Steering wheel paddle shifters do not work.

I added a paddle wheel to my '04...
there was a list describing all the different permutations of wheels;4 spoke MFSW with heat, 4 spoke MFSW without heat, 4 spoke MFSW with heat and shift paddles, etc. As i recall the tech just changed the digit in question with the digit corresponding to the description of the wheel I was adding. Paddle wheels were not offered in the US in 2004, but it worked with my car. So in as much as a paddle wheel was available in the US in 2006, the wheel upgrade should be possible.

My original wheel was heated, multifunction. The new one in not heated, but it has paddle shifters and multi function. Do I need a different clock spring or harness? Coding did nothing. Unless I have done something wrong? D

You shouldn't need to change anything...
I did not change clock spring or the control module or harness.
