Default Any way to bypass Key recognition?

In my searches I found Shamoye's keyless start install thread and another which lists Dball2 as interfacing with the lock cylinder. Since my mechanic "bricked" my car and suspects key recog module, I'd love to have an alternative besides $3000 at the dealer.
There's also this Fortin unit which looks like it would work...
I realize I might have to additionally install a remote start but I'd love to have that anyway.

Would these bypass/replace both the rfid in the steering column and the module under the driver's seat?

Are they installable while the car is not recognizing the keys?

Thanks Shamoye and Louis

I am sorry to hear about your misfortune, but I doubt the solution you are looking at will work without the key being recognized. Just can't imagine it, I am no expert here so don't take my word for it, just callin em, as I see em.

They will not work for what you need. You still need a key that is registered to the car to work for these modules. In fact for all VW products made in the last ~15 years these modules need a key. The algorithm that is used has not been broken (at least not publicly). There are Chinese modules out there that will bypass some models, but never seen one used on our cars.

I have the original two keys and they worked fine until I took the car in for service at a highly recommended indy vw/Audi specialist. Ha said they ceased to work after he jump started the car. I'm going to replace the battery and pray. (he says the battery is fine). It's not the immobilizer or the key fob, it's the RFID key recognition. Can't even get VCDS to function without ignition on.

Yes you can...

There's the hold the brake pedal for 20 seconds method to wake up diagnostics, and or you add 12 volts to the ignition / instrument cluster fuse on your left side fuse box to back feed the circuit , I did all this with the Bentley (VAG) with no keys and was able to read the modules needed, MAINLY the KESSY, that is how I programmed the keys.

If your KESSY is fried, you can have a used one cloned, I was able to extract the secret key codes {4 digit pin} from each Kessy Module using a reader/ writer, and it won't be anywhere near $3000.00 .

I PM'd you my number if you need to call.

Yes is the way to go.
But try vcds to recode first.
If keys have previously been coded to your car and kessy not bricked it may work
