Cleaning chrome door trim

I used aluminum mag polish
After five or six treatments it stays shiny much longer. Have not cleaned it in 3 months and it still looks good.
The brand I used is Mother's. Make sure it is made for aluminum and not chrome.

Took several applications. After each one it looked good for a while. The rag would pick up the black oxide from the trim.

do you have the white clouded look...
Once the cloudy sealer is removed you will have 'live' aluminum that can be (must be) polished from time to time to remain bright.

I used an aluminum trim cleaner/polish that also had a sealer compound built in. Worked great, and 2+ years later it still looks good with no tarnishing or cloudiness. They had a few varieties in my local Autozone.
