Every Tan/Gold car I've seen looks boring, old and hideous and I've always asked myself who in their right mind would purchase a car with the worst color a vehicle could be painted.

Your A8 is the only car I've seen that makes that color look good

I mentioned it here years ago; When I saw the first D3 at the NAIAS in January, 2003, it was Pearl Beige metallic. I said to myself that I will have that car one day. I had a 5000CS Quattro in Pearl White.

The old pearl was a very cool color as well--when they could still get it near white w/out the yellow tinge look a lot of pearl "whites" seem to suffer from now. That was on my dream list back then.

In the town I live, generally the'best' cars are either Holden Commodores or Ford Falcons.
It's a very much... bogan place here Haha

There is another couple of A8s here, mine is the only one that is driven daily tHough.
There is an 08 3.0 Tdi in anothera black 4.2

They just got the balance of the design right - its taught, sculpted and very elegant.
They just got it right.

I get looks all the time, I need to make a sticker saying "Hello Peasants"
But I value my windows tyres and paint not being damaged!

12 years old and built in early '13 is somewhat of a mathematical marvel in and of itself, just giving you the business I know you mean early '03, and it is a beauty, probably because of the quantum math and all. Mine is an '06 and still a marvel to drive, and a head turner. I get people stopping by the house even to look at it and to talk to me about it, they are great cars, we are all lucky to have them, marvels of automotive engineering and design.

Silly phone keyboard as I've been traveling. Yes, built in 2003. But I could have been using a different numbering system besides Base 10.....
