Fitting D4 tow-bar to D3

Fitting D4 tow-bar to D3
I've got the idea to fit a D4 "swiweling" (hidden inside the rear bumper) tow-bar to my D3.
I mean one of those that pops out, when you push a button.
The only issues I have:
- will it clear the inside of the fender?
- Is the D4 towbar electrical or mechanically operated?
Looks electrical, because I can't find any cables hanging from tow-bars for sale...
The reason, used D4 oem tow-bar 300e, new D3 NON-oem DETACHABLE tow-bar 300e, new westfalia 700€.
