Not sure if I should start at the beginning.
- wanted to get my daughter a little sacrificial car, cheap Fiat 500
- my wife said "no give her the Focus" and I'll drive the "new" car.
- so I got a nice 500 Lounge in stick
- snows like heck, and the Focus is crashed!! But I did see 3 cars off the road that day
- So now my daughter who won't drive a stick, takes the A8L
- Focus is totalled over $10K damages
- my wife is shopping for a new car, I pick that up today new Kia Soul

And I am driving the cheap little Fiat 500 :P

PS: Truck goes into the body shop next week, still runs. Also thief stole the truck keys @ a swim meet but the swim team circled the truck and thwarted the theft!! $2K in expenses to get it home

Not a good winter, Shark! I say the daughter needs to learn to drive stick. It's a good life skill, and if she can't keep the Focus out of trouble in slippery stuff, in icy instances I worry for the harder to stop and harder to turn A8!
