I just bought an A8L about two weeks ago and have the lights you're looking for. I saw that you can update the tail lights to full LED versions, but for a hefty price. I was thinking about updating it for the aesthetics, but only if I could sell my current ones for a fair price, I'll get a few pics when there's more light out. Car has 54k miles, 2007, and always garaged. Lights look brand new still, let me know if you are interested. I can't do anything immediately since everywhere I've found the newer lights online have them priced just shy of $2000, but I'll entertain the idea if I know I have a buyer for my old lights.

Well, I found a more attractive option, apparently I can order them directly from Germany for about $1200. So, how much are you willing to pay for a like new set of tail lights? :P

300-400 each side seems to be the standard for each side for used lights when looking before. Cheapest I found a full set was for 750. Side note, it seems the newer style taillight cost about the same, just harder to find. I don't know if there's anything special that needs doing to do the update or just plug them in.

I am selling my whole set (04-07) for $400 shipped. Having upgraded to the 08+ style I can confirm they are plug and play. I got mine on eBay for just under 1200 shipped from Germany.

I have to take a look at your tail lights since I was under the impression that you had to run a wire to the trunk to get the turn signal to work on the trunk side of the lens.

Audi really screwed up when they had those lights made. The weld between the body of the light and the lens is minimalist at best. I am surprised that the red lenses haven't fallen off.

Is there a write up on how to repair these? I've noticed I'm getting water inside mine as well.

Google is your friend. Video how-tos exist too.

OP, if you are still interested in buying his tail lights, I'll split half with you since I need the passenger inner light due to water in the reverse light
