Manually set time and date?
Had my battery replaced two weeks ago, so my clock/date in the instrument was reset to the car's build date. I've had that happen once or twice before when I had the battery out, and it would always self-adjust after a little while.
This time it hasn't for some reason.
1) Any way I can set it manually?
2) Why doesn't it self-adjust anymore? I used to have a little broadcast tower icon type thing to the left.
Thanks

I have no idea what your talking about when you refer to set automatically. I never knew it does set auto, and I have never seen that icon you said you saw. Manually you go under car> setup and time/date will be on one of the four select buttons to set the time/date there.

I remembered seeing this, and it took me awhile to track it down.
Since [I think] you are in Europe the radio uses DCF-77 time sync to set the date and time.
Module 17 may need to be recoded.
Have a look here http://www.audi-portal.com/en/diagnostic/ecu_10851.html
Vaguely recall reading somewhere that this can be done in the States using Sirius/XM SDARS but that could have been my imagination and it's been several days.....
EDIT: Found some old notes that it could be set to 'satellite' but never tried it as I think the German was mis-translated

You're right, I'm in Europe - I heard somewhere that it syncs the date and time with some über tower in Frankfurt (which is like a thousand miles south from here) and that bad weather can sometimes affect the signal. Granted we've had blizzards and like 7 ft of snow in the last few weeks, but I've had this car for several harsh winters and never lost the signal completely for this long before.

Excellent, let us know if that was the issue.
Yes I think the transmitters are in Mainflingen just outside Frankfurt. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DCF77
They are much more reliable than WWV we have here in the States which seems to get interrupted by a leaf blowing by
Then again it's a smaller area to cover too.
I remember having no problem locking onto the European and Japanese time signals when I used to travel a lot.
