I have AAA plus membership because I also have motorcycles. The Plus is well worth the extra few bucks when you consider the additional coverage.

So, after 1040+ miles, 22+ hours of driving time over 7 days, I got home earlier this afternoon. Quite a trip!!

The itinerary...


The D3 performed effortlessly, thus my concerns were pretty much unfounded. On cruise control for most of the journey, with A/C at 75 degrees, suspension on Auto mode, it was 'smooth sailing'. The A8 is a pleasure to drive (as every owner here can attest to)!!

Sidebar: Maybe its just me, but driving in downtown Toronto, I was pleasantly surprised..lol; drivers are much more civil / courteous compared to ..[cough]....NYC; cab drivers actually stop to let you through.

Anyway, all in all it was a fun trip for the whole family.

Nice! If you ever feel like taking a longer trip you should come out west. Took the D4 to Glacier National Park this past weekend.
