OK, I have search this forum and looks like know one else has had this issue. I find this an odd scenario and wanted to know how to fix. I have a 2004 Audi A8L with 4.2L, I will get in the car when it is cold and the fan speed with be on 11. I will turn it down to maybe 2. Drive to work and when I leave for lunch the fan speed with be 11 again. I DO NOT ADJUST FAN SPEED when driving to work and AUTO is not set. No vagcom errors, any suggestions. Thanks

So if AUTO is not set, what manual entry are you setting it to?

My guess is that the system is reverting back to AUTO and running the fan speed as neede.

Besides, why not leave the system set to AUTO at the temperature you desire and let the machine do the work?

By default the blower fan will revert to automatic. On my car, if I set the temp to either 72F or 73F, the car does the rest. No point in messing with the fan speed or anything else. Setting the car to "HI" isn't going to make the cabin heat any quicker.
