What tires are you currently running on your D3?

Definately a low price tire. Work fine. Might buy another set. Tire Rack had them for 150.00 each recently.
Mine have over 20k miles and should go another 20 - 30k.

How are they in the rain and in corners?

Running these and really like them: Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus SL. I've had three other types of tires since 2007 (not counting winter tires) and didn't like them as much. I now run the P7s on both the A8L and the allroad. They're quite and smooth and handling seems OK.

michelin pilot super sport, well, they're dead now.

going to be picking up something fresh for this season. while i found the michelins
very good, they are pretty expensive and don't last very long.
i figure i got about 25k km's with my set. but they we're very smooth, comfortable,
quiet, amazing in all conditions.

The performance on dry and flooded roads has been fine. Had a 911 wipe out in front of me and the family couple months ago.
Suspect it hydroplaned in the standing water. I had no issues hitting the same puddle. The 911 did several 360's before slamming the retaining wall.

Living the Northeast with the brutal winters and not wanting to swap out my tires and rims, I went with the Cooper Zeon RS3As. Great all season tire that has preformed well in the rain and snow for the 19" setup and fairly inexpensive. I am on my second set of them on my second A8.

Actually just put on another set of Continental DWS (275/35/20) on the S8...but sadly only put 40 miles on them so far. They proved worthy the last two years since I've owned the car I stuck with the brand...upped the size though.

Continental DWS. HIGHLY recommended. Handle great in the dry, wet and the horrific snow we have had this year. You don't get much of it in DC but I would recommend the tire for you on those rare occasions you have to deal with it. Never had a better all season tire.

I have just replaced a set of Michelin Sport pilot AS+ in 275/35R20 with the Michelin Pilot Sport AS3. The AS+ only lasted about 28K because of bad control arm bushings. Replaced all upper bushings so will see how long these last. The AS3 are very quiet and handles the rain very well. We do not get much wintery weather down here in ATL so I can't vouch for their winter capabilities. I've always run either Goodyears or Michelins except for one set of Khumo on my D2. The Khumo sucked so bad that I replaced them with only about 8K miles on them because I could not stand them anymore. I'm Korean so I wanted to like them but no joy. I'm also a Godoyear and Michelin group dealer so I'm biased.
