1st Audi after 20 years of BMW (concern)
Just signed up to the forum and looking forward to hearing great things about the new A8L ( and Audi in general).
I do have one immediate concern and would love any feedback. After only 250 miles I am getting an annoying creaking sound that appears to be coming from the passenger door. I have reached over and attempted to push in on sections of the door to stop the sound but I cannot seem to locate the issue. Being new to the Audi world after owning 5 BMW's ( last being a 750LI) I am concerned that the vehicle will be prone to rattles and other annoying sounds. Can anyone shed a little light on this issue? Is this something common with Audi?

Not sure what that is, but my experience over 25 years and 11 Audis is that they are like vaults and even after 100k miles are not prone to unintended noises. I'm sure your dealer will have a fix for it.

Had a really annoying interior creak coming from passenger side when I initially got my 2011 A8L. My wife tracked it to the passenger side upholstered A-pillar cover. Pushing a bit of folded up felt sheeting between the windshield glass and the A-pillar resolved the issue. Other than that, the car was very quiet for the 3 and a half years we had it.
With 650 miles on our new 2015 A8L, the car is quiet as a vault thus far (knocking on wood).

I've had a creaking sound in my car as well that the dealer has not been able to track down despite multiple visits. It's somewhat intermittent but I have captured it on video for them before. They "tightened" some cross beams before but it didn't help. Amusingly, I've noted the same sound in at least one of the A8L loaners that I've received too...
Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to check the A pillar once I get my car back... It's at the dealer again for an issue with the MMI screen going completely dark (second time in 2 months).
