We should be able to see if there is an updated Mechatronic part number or software....

The sprintbooster works rather nicely in my old oil burner. I turn it off (we put the button/light under the steering wheel) for my wife as she doesn't like the instant throttle reaction. There's a "fast" mode (green light) and a "bonkers" mode (red light).

Back in the day a friend of mine compared the differences from a passengers perspective and he was amazed by it.

It only cost about £80 plus 10 mins fitting time (in series with the throttle pedal connection to the engine management system).

If I get my wife an SQ5 (diesel) in the coming weeks, it's one thing I'll have installed on there too. It's not a fix, just a very effective workaround :-)

Wow, yours is a much newer revision than mine.
VCID is a module specific ID - those should all be different.

What version of VCDS are you running ?
12.12.2 and 14.5.3 should have updated labels

More label files for D4 modules will be available as soon as Seb gets through all the PLA and PLB files I sent.

I got tired of asking the dealer to check into this issue, therefore I gave up,well a couple of months ago I went for an oil change and they told me that there was an update available but the SA couldn't interpret what it was about so I left came back picked it up and first thing I noticed was that the hesitation is 90% and I say 90% because sometimes I do get it but not as harsh as before, so I was very happy to see that it was mostly fixed! BUT now my downshifting is nuts, driving in NYC traffic is a pain sometimes due to the harsh downshifts as I roll to a stops so they fixed one thing and messed up something else, I haven't return to the dealer yet because I don't want to wait a week to have the car back,I'll do it at the end of June since I have some time off then I can drop it off and use their loaner since I won't need it everyday. By the way a while back I had 13 loaner, same year as mine with the same options and I didn't feel the same problem that I had, it drove as it was intended to.

I forgot, also after the update the car is holding the shifts a bit too long for my liking, 1 to 2nd sometimes takes too long and revs are much higher, not all the time but when it does is very annoying

I noticed a marked improvement by consistently using Top Tier gas (76 primarily). Hesitation, the second-thought upshifts from stopped or a rolling stops and to some extent the mildly slamming downshifts are 90% better. The dealer could not find any fault and said that his opinion was that the transmission anticipated something the engine could not deliver at the moment and suggested the fuel change. In any event, it has helped in my case.

Has this problem been solved? The throttle delay from dead stop in my 2013 A8L 4.0 is terrible.
