Default A8 Demographic. Is 46 too young for an A8?

Trying to decide beteween an S6, CPO A8, and a Cayenne. Not sure I'm old enough for the A8 at 46. What is the demographic fr this car?

Buy what you want and what you like. Screw the demographics.

I'm confused. What does the demographic have to do with choosing a car for yourself?

I'm far younger than that and I chose a cpo a8 over an a6. In dynamic mode it drives very close to an a6 and in comfort mode it's incomparable.

Everyone tried to push me towards the a7 but after driving both I kept coming back to the a8 for the comfort factor (massaging seats? come on).

I was 43 when I got mine - you're never too young / old to drive a car you like....

Here's my take...

This past weekend I was in a friend's brand new MB S550. Nice car, drove very well, quiet, solid --- and made me feel OLD. Got into my new D4 A8L and was immediately rejuvenated.

I was 55 when I got my first A8 (D3 A8L). Now on my 4th A8...I swear, the car keeps me feeling YOUNG. Drive what makes you feel good---Age is a physical reality that we too often turn into a neurosis.

My general outlook on life:
If you can afford it and want it, who gives a damn ?
Life is short - don't fill it with regrets and worry, or let others force their will on you.

I had my first A8 at 36, buy what you like and if others don't get it then maybe they just aren't into cars.

According to Audi:

Who are the A8 customers? A8 customers are highly affluent consumers with a median income close to $500,000, and are most likely worth over $1,000,000. Median age is around 58, which is similar to the BMW 7 Series, and younger than the S Class and Lexus LS. They are highly educated, with almost half having a post-graduate level degree, and are mostly married with few children still in the household. They enjoy traveling, both domestic (e.g. skiing/spa) and international (e.g. Italy/France). Typical publications that they enjoy include the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, The Economist and Barron's

It's okay to be different though. I bought my nearly fully loaded 2011 A8L when I was 21 and yeah some people jokingly asked if I was a drug dealer but it was in jest and didn't change anything.
