Most people don't know an A8 well enough to notice anything different unless it doesn't look factory. The problem is that the car wasn't designed to draw attention to itself, so there isn't much you can do to do that without it looking like it doesn't belong. For what it's worth, there isn't one aftermarket thing I think improves what they've already got available from the factory. I'd love one with an S8 front bumper. And rear with exhaust. And mirrors. And motor.

Yes the A8 is very understated. I like it that way. It's a real fooler until further and better inspection , get in and drive.
If I had a Bently I'd still be driving the A8 a lot!

I agree with you it needs to look OEM on a flagship car like an A8.
I would remove it.

If you want to mod the car, a good tint or blacked out chrome would be better.
But not those LED strips...

Everyone's got their taste, as long as you're happy, do what you like. I didn't touch mine and even when I sold it 2 1/2 years later, I still looked back at it after parking it, thinking it looked perfect. Keeping a good coat of wax on the paint and keeping the wheels clean makes the biggest difference, by far. Personally, I like the chrome trim it has, and tint is superfluous with the shades.

The "idea" is OK...

I just think you need to find something a little more OEM looking...

Like several others have said here - it doesn't really look OEM, and looks more like an old Honda e-bay add-on...

If you like the look than go for it. having said that I would be worried how much airflow it's blocking to the cooler on the drivers side. Probably not a huge issue unless you push the car hard in hot weather but I wouldn't do it for that reason alone.

I really don't like the look as it looks "add-on" because the light temp is not the same. It actually looks cheaper than it probably was.

No, not really. It just doesn't aesthetically fit in anywhere. Even if the color matches, there's no place to put the lights that fits the design language of the rest of the car. Adding lights doesn't always pan out, even Mercedes with their factory optional lighted badges look cheesy.
