Audi S8 / A8 ventilated seats
Hello everyone ! I am new to this form and i'm glad of being a member.
I recently bought an S8 2012 and i'm very impressed about it ! I am looking to upgrade few bits and i'm wondering if these can be done.
I have the sport seats and i want to upgrade with ventilated ones. Im not sure if these seats comes already ventilated, only need to change the instrument panel and activate with VCDS ? Is any way to check that ?
Thanks !

You'd have to get new seats to get the ventilated ones, and unless it came along in later years, they weren't available with the sport seats. The ventilation is nice, but the massage is really the best part. If you would like a list of VCDS mods, please feel free to check the link in my signature. Keep in mind when asking for tips and advice that most forum members are Americans, who may have different spec cars than you have in the UK. Most things are the same but some small details could be different.

Are you sure you don't have the ventilation seat on the dash, right next to the heated seat button? I know you are in the UK so I am not sure what the option package is, but in the US the sport seats come with ventilation. In fact the only difference with the sport seats from the standard luxury seats is the diamond stitching. Curious how they do it over there.

I looked it up, in fact massage and ventilated are standard for the 2013(2012 UK) S8. I was told that in 2011(2010 UK) A8, the two were mutually exclusive. Is the ventilated button below the heated button not there? The seats ventilation is not very noticeable, even at it's highest setting, but it does do well to keep your back dry when driving for long periods of time. The massage button is on the side of seat, by the rest of the seat adjustment. That and ventilated seats go together.
