Destination Assist
One of the features I found most useful in my Lexus is the ability to call Lexus via Lexus Assist and have the program a destination into the navigation via satellite. I haven't yet found anywhere in the owner's manual for my new S8 if Audi offers this service. Can someone tell me if they do, and if so how to access this feature?

I usually use the online destination feature through the voice command. It has about a 80% success rate on first try, and a 99% success rate on second try. Just hit the voice button on the steering wheel, and say online destination "Exxon" and it will use Google Maps to find it assuming you are paying for Audi Connect, which is really reasonable at $400 for 3 years and 6 months including the free trial.

Excellent point on the online destinations - totally forgot about that.
It was very handy on a recent trip for finding a market that carried Gruyčre cheese... of all things...

I haven't tried the Audi system yet, but it doesn't seem to be the same. With Lexus you get a real person on the other end of the call and tell them what you want. A couple of days ago I wanted to set the Intersection of an Interstate and a local road. It took the lady on the other end a couple of minutes and she had to ask a couple of questions, but she found where I was wanting to go and downloaded directly into my navigation system. Very handy, especially when driving at highway speeds.

App
Audi has an app for the iPhone (don't know if it's available for other smart phones) called Audi Connect. Sending a destination to your car using this app is even quicker and easier than using Google Maps.

Yeah, I have the the online destination function of the Audi MMI Connect working pretty well on my new D4. Does make things much easier to pre-load your Nav destinations.
