DVD Cleaning Disks - Success Story
2011 A8 with Single Disk player
All my Cds were skipping on smooth road surfaces. I tried cleaning the disks, but that was not the problem.
I thought I'd try your standard high quality home unit cleaning disk. (about $15). I read up on directions and comments from users who tried them on cars. Anyway the car was still under warranty if it went badly.
The upshot is that the cleaning disks are good for only one use for an in dash car unit as the cleaning brushes will bend, . . . but heh, for $15 I was not going to worry about that.
It worked beautifully. Even my old heavily used CDs work without a skip.
