Default Finally Got rid of the Crappy Pirelli’s

My OEM Pirelli's (265/40/20) began to make tire/road noise around 14K miles. At about 16K miles you could really hear it. At first I was skeptic when the dealer said it was a tire and became a bit more skeptic when I rotated them and I still heard a similar noise. But after reading enough threads about the Pirell's on an A8 and the road noise they make after a short while along with not being able to take the noise any longer, I decided to get rid of them for a set of Conti sports. My, what a difference. No more noise. Not bad price either. Tires Plus matched a price and did even better on mounting costs. Total was $1498 OTD including the tax, mounting balancing etc. Could have gone with the much pricier Michelins but I just wanted that road noise gone.

David, I have 20s on my D3 but the Continental DWS handled the horrible winter like a champ in New England. Not sure where you are located but for an all season they are great in dry wet and crap winter conditions, so I will likely get another set when these wear out.

Default POS PIRELLI TIRES

It is like a game to me to wear out OEM Pirelli Tires. On my 2013 S7 it took
Me a total of less than 2 months and less than 2,00O miles to get to the wear bars.
The replacements are ALWAYS Michlin Pilot SS.

I thought Pirellis tires were the best. Gotta agree I hear the road noise. I have Pirellis 20's two weeks old.
So Continental are better tires?

kept the 15 double spoke with used 60% P Zero Nero // will look for better looking Audi wheels and new tires // any ideas which Audi wheels look good on an A8L (from S7s?)

Twin 5-spoke Galvano Silver 2015 A8 sport package wheels (20"). I really like having them...think they look great and are easy to clean.
