The instruction states "car + menu"

Can someone clarify "car" button? Is it the Start button?

Sorry newbie question..

Have you put any video files on sd card?

Arrrgh,

First of all, thanks for sharing your finding!

I have messed around with VCDS now and I can't get the car as low as I want... LR value was 419.6 and the software will not accept a value above 435. This means that I can only lower 15.4mm in the rear and that is about half the way i'd like to go. Ideal for me is probably 25-30mm.

When I try to enter a value above 435 it just gives me the "Request sequence error" message.

Any ideas? Do I need to get links?

Thanks,

How is the quality of ride, especially on S8? In my opinion suspension is too soft and if lowering could stiffen it, it would be worth considering.

My European S8 2015 went down 20mm yesterday. It was 41cm from mid rim to arch, now it's 39cm. I have 20 inch wheels.

So far I didn't notice any change in ride quality but I will test it more. Driving my other car at the moment.

I have a 2013 S8.
I couldn't get it to work for me.

I am using the latest version of VCDS and after I select LF, RF, LR and RR - I see different heights for each corner. (Shouldn't the LF and RF be the same, and the LR and RR be the same?)

Then I tried to add 3mm, 5mm, 10mm to just the LF corner and I get a "Request Sequence Error" message.

Thoughts?

FWIW, my 2015 S8 that had been untouched with any mods had differing values left to right as well as front to rear. Factory dials it in somehow, presumably in an alignment jig process. They have to deal with the remaining tolerances of manufacturing and assembly in truing it up.

Hi All, Would it be possible for someone to help me with the lowering using VCDS? I have the software just need some assistance if someone can do it remotely? I did it on my D3 but the D4 instructions looks more detailed and complex. Any help would be appreciated.
