We have a 2013 A8 with Active Cruise Control. It has failed for the fourth time in two years. The last time was in Dec14. The dealer now says we need another re-alignment to the tune of 1k that is not covered by warranty. I have had ACC on Porsches, Mercedes, BMWs and a Lexus and never had these issues. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Dealer just called back and they are again going to fix at no charge (i guess my call to Audi NA may have had an impact?)

I would imagine the potential liability of something marketed as a safety enhancer failing at a critical moment, outweighs the expense of fixing it at no charge...

I've had an error message come up on mine once in the past year. I had been told it's normal from time to time, but I've never had any other issue with it and it's at 60,000 miles.
