Default Retrofitting Dual Pane Glass Project

I am attempting to retrofit dual pane glass into my A8L. I have the rear door trim panels off and I'm now trying to remove the interior window frame trim. According to the service manual, it should just pry off, however, mine seems to be stuck and I pried so hard that it snapped at some point. The window will not come out without the B-pillar trim being removed I think so I'm stuck. Has anyone taken these pieces off before? I do have the privacy shades which I think may be the problem, but the manual doesn't say anything about removing that before doing the other steps.

I don't have any answers for you, but I am curious how this goes for you. One of the options my car doesn't have that I'd have liked is the dual pane windows. I'm curious at how effective they are, and what they cost.

Did the glass make much of a difference? How difficult does everything come apart and go back together?

Due to a mixup with the part numbers I ended up with glass meant for an A8 not an A8L

I will be scrapping this project. But it is not a hard job at all!

Unfortunately not. I would have had to ship it to Germany and I had already put tint on the windows. Lol yeah I too thought it was funny to see a framed photo of a cardboard box!

Would you consider selling them?
