Default A6 gearbox compability

I curently have a audi a6 quattro auto that has failed. its model zf 4hp-18 CRF,
Im wondering if the gearbox named zf 4hp-18 Crh works in my car setup?
Cant find any good info, all i can find ia that the Crh gearbox is in the 2.6L quattro models and the Crf is in the 2.8L quattro.

None seems to have tried this, not ever ZF themself could tell what the difference were.
I gaved it a shot and it works so far, the 4hp-18 CRF box is identical to the 4hp-18 crh box, could be some different gear ratio, no idea really

Have a look at this page Audi A6 C4 data index

You can pursue each individual model and click "Full specification"

Edit: This is data for 96 2.6 Avant.

If I remember correctly, I have read on the aforementioned page that the ratios are slightly different from 2.6 to 2.8.
